Nicholas is the Co-Chairman and Managing Director of CBRE Middle East Region, which he established in 2005. This Region encompasses the firm’s operations across the Middle East and North Africa. He is also Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors MENA and Chair of the Lillian Sutton (SoC) Charitable Trust. He was named by Arabian Business as one of the 100 most influential people in the UAE in 2017; and named in 2023 one of the Top 100 Executives by Forbes Middle East. Maclean is a member of: the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House); the Institute of Revenue, Rating and Valuation; and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
