Chief Financial Officer
Emma Giamartino is Chief Financial Officer of CBRE and oversees the company’s global finance organization, which includes controllership, financial planning & analysis, financial risk & assurance, investor relations, tax and treasury. She is also responsible for corporate development and capital allocation, working in partnership with CBRE’s executive, business line and geographic leadership on both mergers and acquisitions and real estate investment activities.
She is a member of the company’s Global Executive Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of Industrious, a leading provider of premium flexible workplace solutions; CBRE is Industrious’ largest shareholder. She previously served as a Board member of CBRE Acquisition Holdings, Inc., a Special Purpose Acquisition Company sponsored by CBRE, prior to its acquisition of Altus Power.
Prior to becoming CFO of CBRE, Ms. Giamartino served as Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Corporate Development. She joined CBRE in February 2018 to lead CBRE’s M&A activities in the Americas. Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Giamartino served as Director of Corporate Development at Verizon Communications where she executed M&A transactions and strategic investments across Verizon’s core businesses.
Earlier, Ms. Giamartino worked in Nomura’s technology, media and telecommunications group, where she held progressively responsible positions, most recently as Vice President, Investment Banking for the group. She began her career at Financial Security Assurance, a financial guaranty insurance company focused on municipal bonds and mortgage-backed securities.
