Deepak Dewani is the Chief Strategy Officer for CBRE, where he works with the senior executive leadership team to define and enhance the company’s strategy to accelerate growth and competitive advantage across our three segments and various functions.

Prior to assuming this role in December 2022, Deepak was a Senior Vice President in CBRE’s Analytics and Insights group. He led a team of professionals who use a combination of data, analysis and insights, and partner with the company’s executive leadership in making evidence-based business decisions.

Prior to that, Deepak was part of the leadership team in Americas Research, and led the Divisional Research team in the U.S., including the Field Research and Data Intelligence functions. In this role, he provided leadership to 200+ research professionals in the U.S. as well as oversight for Field Research’s partnership with our producers at the point of sale. He also partnered with our national leadership team on several key business initiatives that require research/data support and oversight. From 2015-2018, Deepak was the Head of Operations for CBRE’s Advisory Sales Management team in Asia Pacific, based out of Singapore. In that role, he helped drive organic business growth in the region via a stronger platform, superior technology tools and disciplined pursuit management processes.

Deepak began his career at CBRE in India, where he spent over 8 years in A&T and Global Workplace Solutions, and executed several marquee leasing and advisory assignments for various Fortune 500 clients in the region.

Immediately after completing his MBA, Deepak worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York, where he executed several capital raising and M&A transactions for real estate firms, including CBRE’s $1.5B acquisition of JCI’s Global Workplace Solutions and DTZ’s $2B acquisition of Cushman & Wakefield.
