Wellness in the Asia Pacific Workplace September 2017
Wellness programmes offer companies a significant opportunity to forge more successful and sustainable businesses by creating workplaces that support their agenda as well as those of their employees.
In Asia Pacific, some companies have introduced a series of standalone initiatives to improve wellness while others have adopted a more holistic approach. A select few have gone a step further and adopted the International WELL Building Institute’s (IWBI) WELL Building Standard™ (WELL).
This ViewPoint by CBRE Research identifies the factors driving the adoption of office wellness programmes in Asia Pacific; provides an overview of the WELL Building Standard; and considers the other wellness options available to occupiers and landlords. It also pinpoints the barriers to adopting WELL – many of which are unique to certain markets - and provides solutions as to how they can be overcome
Utimately companies must carefully consider whether they would like to adopt basic short term measures to improve workplace wellness or embrace a longer-term strategy. CBRE Research believes that only an holistic approach can drive fundamental change and have a lasting impact on the bottom line.
