• After an exceptional year for take-up during 2017, the first six months of 2018 has continued to impress, with the majority of markets witnessing a very strong start to the year. Across the ten regional city markets monitored by CBRE, overall take-up in H1 2018 reached nearly 3.9m sq ft, 24% above the five-year average and 37% higher than the 2.8m sq ft acquired in the same period of 2017.
  • Investor appetite remained buoyant in the first half of 2018, with approximately £2.3bn spent on offices outside of London and the South Eastern regions.
