In the first quarter of the year, Edmonton’s overall office market experienced 78,444 sq. ft. of negative net absorption.
A return in sublease space contributed to the majority of the negative absorption seen in Q1 2020, with sublease space accounting for 9.6% of all vacant space, compared to 7.6% the previous quarter.
Edmonton’s office market added 56,296 sq. ft. in Q1 2020. Out of the new space added to the market this quarter, 17.6% of the space was preleased.
